Stephanie Parker is a freelance environmental and science journalist and photographer based between Silvaplana, Switzerland and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Her work focuses on agriculture, food, biodiversity, invasive species, and environmental justice.

Born and raised in New York City, Stephanie traded the skyscrapers of the city for the mountains of Switzerland. Before moving to Europe, she lived in North Carolina, Montana, and Virginia, and has traveled extensively through South and Central America. Her greatest pride is having traveled to 35 countries so far.

Stephanie’s writing work has appeared in Civil Eats, Earth Island Journal, Modern Farmer, Mongabay, Science News, Undark, and Wired among others. She has also had her photographs published in some of these publications as well along with a multimedia video and photo project published on Montana PBS and photos on the Missoulian.com. She was also a travel fellow for the 2018 NASW Science Writers conference.
